I used to think parks were parks and kids would just go and play on the play structures in the same way. However, after hitting a few parks we've begun to notice a pattern with our kids.
The Climber:
No matter the type of park or play structure, Nathan just loves to climb. At times this gets a little scary but so far he's managed to stay pretty safe. Coming down is a different story. He's still pretty cautious and prefers to shift into reverse and back up to get onto slides in order to make a quick exit from a structure.
Mr. Tanbark:

Daniel could be standing in front of the Taj Mahal and he would still be in this position. For whatever reason, he's always fascinated by little bits and pieces on the ground. He could play like this forever (and often does) when we're at the park.
Miss High Energy:
Rachel is more of the typical park-goer. Lately, she's enjoyed sprinting in circles around the perimeter of the play structures. Most of her park time will also be spent demanding that I chase her on, around, in, through, on top of, and underneath said park structures. It's fun for the first 2 minutes and then I remember very quickly that I'm no agile 3 1/2 foot kid. It's like a two-seater sports car running from a big-rig hauling a double-wide load.
The Astronaut:
Yvonne never passes on a chance to go supersonic on a swing. (No, the photo is not out of focus. Yvonne is approaching terminal velocity and about to break the sound barrier...)
